Course facilitators

Ms. Monica Namumbya Kapiriri

Facilitator and Development Consultant

Ms. Monica Kapipiri is a facilitator and consultant with over 20 years of experience in training, programme support, gender integration, monitoring, and evaluation. She has worked with both local and international NGOs, research, and government agencies including the EU, FARA, CARE International, RUFORUM, USAID, and the World Bank. Ms. Kapipiri holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Natural Resource Management from Makerere Institute for Environment and Natural Resource Management, and a BSc in Forestry from the Faculty of Forestry, Makerere University. She also holds certificates in leadership and team management; negotiation skills; mainstreaming gender in policy and development programmes formulation. She has published a number of books including Sleeping Giant: Unleashing Africa’s Potential and Breaking the Shackles of Poverty. She has also written and presented several conference papers for RUFORUM, CGIAR, and FARA.  Monica has been part of several AWARD course designs and brings to the A-TEAM several years of experience as an accomplished leadership trainer in management and mainstreaming gender policy, mentoring and coaching, and monitoring and evaluation.
Ms. Monica Namumbya Kapiriri

Ms. Adeline Rwashana Muheebwa

Gender and Development Consultant

Ms. Adeline Rwashana Muheebwa is an international gender and development consultant, trainer, and agribusiness specialist. She is the chairperson of the Association of Uganda Professional Women in Agriculture and Environment (AUPWAE), She trains for the Gender Responsive Researchers Equipped for Agricultural Transformation (GREAT) and has participated in the development of training curricula for the private sector under USAID’s Private Sector-Driven Agricultural Growth Project (PSDAG) in Rwanda and Buy from Women Campaign under the UN Women’s initiative in Rwanda. She holds an MBA in Development Management from Milton Keynes-Open University, UK, and is a seasoned facilitator, rapporteur, and mentor in various gender analysis tools and approaches including the Gender Action Learning Systems (GALS) methodology and World Overview of Conservation Approaches and Technologies (WOCAT) decision support methodology. Muheebwa has over 18 years of experience in different capacities as a development practitioner and brings to the ATEAM in-depth knowledge in strategic planning, proposal development, development, and evaluation of training programs.
Laila B Lokosang

Ms. Titilope Fakoya

Gender and Social Development Specialist

Titilope is a global gender and social development specialist with over twenty-five years of cross-sector international experience in program, policy, and research initiatives, including the design, management, and evaluation of development programs. She has worked across Africa with a range of civil society organizations, INGOs, and government agencies, focusing on gender and social inclusion mainstreaming and safeguarding. Her experiences include leading research and analysis teams, designing gender and safeguarding manuals, developing national and local policies, directing impact assessments, and conducting international stakeholder and gender analyses and trainings. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in General and Applied Psychology from the University of Jos in Nigeria and a Master of Economics degree from the Institute of Development Policy and Management (IDPM) at the University of Manchester, Manchester, UK, where she graduated in Development Administration and Management. Titilope is accredited to train the revolutionary Six Thinking Hats ® and The Power of Perception by Edward de Bono and to administer the psychometric assessment test, Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
